I came across some websites wich link to a download of the 1.20 driver for the IFFWDM (original firewirecard for the DM24 ). I tried to download this driver but was unable to.

http://downloads.zdnet.com/abstract.aspx?docid=472455

http://download.cnet.com/IF-FW-DM-Firewire...10_4-73096.html

Above a trace to that now unobtainable driver. Has anyone downloaded that particular driver? Did it work?

I allso saw that the website of SANEWAVE now is gone... Are they bankrupt? Out of business? Something else?

EDIT; I saw this driver was from 2004. So it is a (broken) link to the past. And not relevant anymore I suppose. Strange how the INTERNET can turn into GARBAGE.
(Thanks REDBUS for your quick comment).

Thanks,

Muziekschuur

I remember we saw that phantom driver before. I think it was the same as one of the existing drivers, just with a different file name.

Sanewave is now "Tudor Products". There is no webpage. They are still working on the X-48 for us.

I tried my saved driver 1.10 as well as downloading the one from the link on here again & they both give me the error on the attached screen shot. I also uninstalled my IEEE1394 controller drivers & my 1394 network drivers & I still get the same error message. Can I "tell" the installer that I am using XP 32...is my XP reinstall bad? Any ideas, thanks guys...

I assume the install is bad or you are installing the driver from a zipfile?

Did you have the driver unpack itself on the harddrive before running the installer?

I just installed XP from the ground up...motherboard drivers & display drivers & thats about it. I still get the same message. I had unpack the driver pack & run from the setup icon, but still no good...very frustrating. What is different now...it is a fresh XP install & nothing installed yet. Are we sure the 1.10 driver is still good? Downloaded it again, but still getting the same message...crazy.
